The forged passport of Ronaldinho sentenced in history

In March, news broke in the football world about the arrest of Brazilian legend Ronaldinho. He and his brother Assis ended up in a Paraguayan jail for attempting to enter the country with forged passports. The stars' lawyers got to work and managed to have Ronaldinho and his brother released to a local hotel in April on a deposit of $1.6 million. The lengthy legal process for the celebrity ended quite favorably - he was fined $90,000 and will not go behind bars. Meanwhile, Assis had to pay a $110,000 fine. Both men will be able to return to Brazil, but their freedom will be restricted for the next two years. Ronaldinho will have the right to travel the world, but must inform local law enforcement authorities how long he will be out of the country. The star's brother was less fortunate - he will not be allowed to leave his homeland for 24 months.
