Paulo Sousa has stepped down from the Poland national team and will now start working in Brazil. Portugal reached an agreement with the Polish Football Federation to terminate the contract, and he was immediately introduced as the new head coach of the Rio De Janeiro "Flamengo" team. P. Sousa did not advance with the Polish national team from the group stage of the European Championship, but he kept his job in the team. Recently, in the World Cup qualifiers, Poland lost 1-2 to Hungary in their final group match, which led them to be among the unseeded teams in the World Cup draw, potentially facing tougher opponents. Nonetheless, Poland will compete in the World Cup qualifiers against Russia, Sweden, and the Czech Republic, but P. Sousa will no longer lead the Polish national team in these matches. Throughout his career, P. Sousa has managed teams such as Fiorentina, Bordeaux, Basel, Swansea City, Leicester City, and played for Borussia, Benfica, Juventus, Inter, and Sporting. Flamengo finished second in the Brazilian championship.
