The fourth champion of the 'Žalgirio E-Taurė' has been revealed.

After a tournament that took place over several weeks, on Sunday at the "O'Learys" sports bar, the fourth champion and prize winners of the "Žalgirio E-Taurė" were revealed.

In the qualifying rounds held in March, several dozen EA FC 25 amateurs competed. Eight players from two qualifying stages advanced to the finals.

Among the 16 participants who reached the final stage, there were both new and familiar faces.

In the semifinals, the top four were "m4tukas," "smartique," "Nojus," and "rcksmaa." Tickets to the final were earned by "Nojus" and last year's third-place winner "m4tukas."

The small final was tense – in 2023, Ričardas "rcksmaa" Kulis, who also secured third place, held the lead after the first match but in the second match, "smartique" showed determination, returned to the game, and ultimately won with a combined score.

"I honestly didn't expect a different outcome. That's how it turned out. It was more about the psychological factor. My opponent might have relaxed a bit, which helped my couple of changed tactics. The fight was until the last second. I respect my opponent very much, as he was very good. I really enjoyed the small final as it allowed me to showcase my level and gave me that opportunity. I made a small comeback from 0:2 to 3:2," said the prize winner.

In the grand final, there was little intrigue. The well-performing "Nojus" and "m4tukas" also faced off in a two-match showdown. In the first match, "Nojus" took a solid lead with a score of 6:3, which he maintained in the second match. Having overcome all tournament opponents, "Nojus" became the fourth champion.

After securing second place and stepping up one rung from last year, "m4tukas" hopes to achieve the same next year. The finalist compared the competitiveness of this year's and last year's tournaments.

"The impressions are good. It's a pity that the final was lost so dryly, but what can you do. I need to learn everything anew, I have to forget the result and perform better next year. Last year I took third place, this year – second. Next year I hope to win. The most important thing is to keep my nerves cool and achieve my goals. Last year there were the same opponents I played against this year. The competition has definitely strengthened. Last year, the results were significantly larger margins; this year – smaller. That says it all," claimed Matas.

Nojus, a student who came to the tournament with friends and was the only one to reach the next stage, celebrated his earned title and did not hide that he personally did not face much resistance.

"It wasn't very hard. I took everything I could. I'm very happy, I feel very lucky. My friend's dad sent me – we came with friends, just tried. My friends didn't qualify, I did – that's how it went," said this year's champion.

The prize winners received awards established by the tournament partners "Elektronikos taškas" – the champion received 500 euros, the vice-champion 300 euros, and the third-place winner received gift vouchers worth 200 euros.

The prizes were presented to the winners by Domasas, the champion of the Lithuanian e-football A league, who represents the "Žalgiris" club.
