Antonio Conte seriously clashed with the London "Chelsea" management because he was not given a serious word in making decisions about player acquisitions, reveals usually reliable sources of the "Daily Telegraph" newspaper.
The Italian was forced to express his opinion also by the fact that he constantly feels that he may have to leave the "aristocrats" team anyway after this season, especially if they lose in the "Carabao" Cup semi-final.
Previously, the coach poured out his frustrations about the short bench of substitutes, as in that match against London's "Arsenal" Willian got injured.
Chelsea failed to acquire even a few newcomers this summer, whom Conte wanted to see in the team, and this month they were only joined by Ross Barkley, who has not played for half a year.
However, soon the "Roma" defender Emerson Palmieri should arrive in the English capital, although the "aristocrats" coach probably had little influence negotiating with this Brazilian.
"I think the club determines our transfer market. As I have said before, my task is to strengthen the team. When it comes to the transfer market, starting from the summer, the club decides on each player," - Conte insisted.
Meanwhile, when asked if stepping out of the "Carabao" Cup would propel the acquisition of newcomers, the coach said: "I think making a decision after one match is not fair, because it is difficult to understand something immediately."
"There is a program and a plan. Making a decision after one match is unfair. This situation has been the same since summer. I will continue to work with my players. This situation has been ongoing since the summer, not just now. My task remains to give everything to this team, and the club will make the best decision for the team," - he added.
"I think there are different situations. Sometimes I can have an impact on the transfer market, sometimes I don't. My main task is to do my job, be a coach, and try to improve my players. Of course, I don't have a big impact on transfers," - Conte concluded.
Last season's Premier League champions Chelsea are currently 15 points behind leaders Manchester City.
