The leaders of the German Football Federation are actively scouting for new candidates who could take over the position of head coach of the national team.

As journalist Matt Law wrote, Julian Nagelsmann and Matthias Sammer are currently contenders to succeed Hansi Flick.

If negotiations with both candidates fail, the DFB has already foreseen a backup plan.

The interim strategist Rudi Voller would continue to lead the 2014 World Cup champions, probably until the end of Euro 2024.

A football fiesta will take place in Germany, so "Die Mannschaft" does not need to participate in the qualifying tournament.
