The goalkeeper L. Paukštė completed "Riterius"

21-year-old Lukas Paukštė signed a contract with Vilnius's "Riteriai" and became a full-fledged member of the team from Thursday. A few weeks ago, the goalkeeper, who started participating in training sessions, quickly proved his abilities. "Many of the team players are well-known to me, so it was really easy to integrate. I have played with some in youth national teams, and with others in different Lithuanian clubs. The team communicates openly, so joining "Riteriai" I feel really good. When joining a new team, you always want to help it as much as possible, get more playing time, and improve. I understand perfectly well that everything depends solely on me. I will work hard in training, wait for my chance and try to seize it," said the newcomer to the team. L. Paukštė became the fourth goalkeeper for "Riteriai". So far, goalkeeper coach Mindaugas Malinauskas has been working with Tadas Simaičius, Vincentas Šarkauskas, and Geraldas Širvinskas. "I played with Tadas in the "Jonava" club, with Vincentas - in "Atlantas". Yes, I knew them from before. I knew the young Gerald less, but we got acquainted (smiles). Also, I had not previously met coach M. Malinauskas, but we found a common language from the first meeting," said L. Paukštė about his colleagues. "Lukas is a technical goalkeeper, with excellent character traits suitable for this position. He has already played a lot of matches both in the A League and internationally, representing various age Lithuanian national teams. I have no doubt that he will not only complement our goalkeeper team, but also strengthen it," said "Riteriai" goalkeeper coach M. Malinauskas, delighted with the newcomer's joining.
