"Global Sports Salaries" conducted a study revealing which sports clubs around the world pay the highest salaries to their players. For the 10th consecutive time, the Spanish champions, Barcelona football players, topped the list. The average player's salary in the Spanish club reaches 12.8 million US dollars. As known, the highest-paid player in the world in 2019 is Lionel Messi, who receives 65 million US dollars per year. Madrid's "Real" club remained second on this list. The "White" team pays their players an average of 11.6 million US dollars. In third place are the Italian champions, Turin's Juventus, who spend an average of 10.54 million US dollars on one player. For comparison, this year the NBA team "Portland Trail Blazers" holds the highest fourth position, paying an average of 10.4 million US dollars to one player.
