In the last quarter-final of the Africa Nations Cup, Green Kyūshū lost to South Africa.

There were no goals scored during the main time or extra time, but there were great moments for the goalkeepers. The whole drama shifted to the penalty shootout.

South Africa won the penalty shootout with a score of 2:1. Green Kyūshū players missed the first three penalty kicks, while South Africa, now in the semi-finals, scored the first one out of three, converted by Teboho Mokoena. Both teams scored in the fourth penalty round, but Patrick Andrade's final kick went straight to the opponent's goalkeeper Ronwen Williams, ending Green Kyūshū's journey in this tournament.

In the semi-finals, South Africa will face Nigeria. The match will take place on February 7th.
