The new scandal has hit the Spanish Football Federation. According to ABC.es, the president of the country's football federation, Luis Rubiales, has been accused of falsifying documents. It is alleged that he illegally tried to add 19 new members to the federation. Rubiales did this for one goal - to increase the number of votes for the upcoming presidential elections, where he will face a competition with Iker Casillas. The mentioned publication declares that Rubiales tried to increase the number of members of the RFEF General Assembly back in December, but this request was rejected by the Administrative Sports Court (TAD). After this decision, Rubiales and his team did not give up - they submitted a new request for 5 new members. Initially, it was approved by the National Sports Council (CSD), but now it has been revealed that the documents were falsified. Rubiales will have to appear in court on May 21st and present his version of events.
