For some time now, the scandal of the love triangle of Belgian football stars that was echoed in the foreign press has taken on a different meaning.
Previously, it was claimed that goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois had seduced his friend Kevin De Bruyne's girlfriend Caroline Lijnen, so the latter was referred to as the unfortunate one in the story.
However, now the 21-year-old girl has decided to speak out.
C. Lijnen stated that in 2012 it was actually K. De Bruyne who made the first move, sleeping with the girl's best friend.
"I then demanded that he choose: her or me. I was willing to give my boyfriend another chance, but our friendship never sparkled like before.
Once I went to Madrid, and Kevin did not object to the trip. Meeting Thibaut, I could talk on any topic, he even cooked me a delicious meal, something I had never experienced from my former boyfriend.
Kevin had deceived me, so I thought, why can't I do the same?"
