However, in the 41st minute, Napoli launched a great counterattack, with Dries Mertens equalizing the score. This was Mertens' 122nd goal for Napoli, making him the club's all-time top scorer. Inter missed some great chances in the second half, and the final whistle confirmed a draw, which favored Napoli players.
