“AC Milan” stepped into the Champions League semi-finals.

“Rossoneri” played 1:1 with “Napoli” footballers on the road, which was enough to achieve a long-unseen accomplishment.

“Napoli” started the match very actively. The Diego Armando Maradona stadium was boiling in the first 10 minutes, but the action calmed down later.

Rafael Leao provoked a penalty kick. Olivier Giroud, standing at the spot, failed to handle the pressure, his shot was saved by Alex Meret. Soon after, the Frenchman wasted another golden opportunity.

However, the experienced striker scored his goal in the first half. After Leao's run, O. Giroud received the ball in the air and sent it into the goal.

At the end of the first half, “Napoli” pushed again, but the visitors held on to their two-goal advantage after 135 minutes of football in Milan.

In the second half, Stefano Pioli's players did not waste their attacking forces, but defensively protected their lead effectively. In the 80th minute, the hosts provoked a penalty kick. Milan's wall, led by Mike Maignan, saved the penalty and maintained their team's two-goal lead.

In extra time, Victor Osimhen narrowed the gap with a header, but that was it and “AC Milan” secured their ticket to the Champions League semi-finals. “Rossoneri” triumphed with an aggregate score of 2:1 in the series.

In the semi-finals, the Italian champions will face the winner of the “Inter” - “Benfica” pair. The fashion capital team won the first leg with a score of 2:0.
