The Italian national team presented green colored clothing

The Italian Football Federation has introduced a new design for the national men's team jerseys.

Already this coming Saturday, football fans will see their favorites in an unusually "green" outfit during the European Championship qualifying match against the Greeks.

According to the federation's announcement, the green color "Renaissance" style outfit is intended for the new team generation, while also commemorating the 1954 national team victory of 2:0 at the "Olimpico" stadium against Argentina.

Back then, unusual color jerseys were worn for the first time.

During those times, green outfits were for youth teams, while blue was only for the privileged men's team.

The match on Saturday will take place at the same "Olimpico" stadium in Rome, and if the Italians win, they will secure a spot in the continental tournament.

Il Presidente @gagravina comments on the new #Renaissance jersey: "The green symbolizes the great work we are doing with the youth. We want to celebrate the rebirth of Italian football with a color that doesn't replace the blue, but makes it even brighter."
