It was expected that Woodgate would be ready for the European Championship, but Robson announced that the defender will have to miss the trip to Portugal.

"We can forget about Jonathan," Robson said. "He will recover from the injury in about 2-3 months. On Friday we will send him to a muscle expert and then we will be able to predict further actions. I would really like him to go to Portugal, but unfortunately it seems that it will not happen."
