"La Liga" leader Javier Tebas criticized the Madrid "Real" club for not wanting to fairly share the money received for television broadcasts with other teams.
Before the upcoming season, both major (and "Barcelona" - ed.) Spanish championship clubs traditionally negotiated separately with television channels, but the situation will change drastically from the 2016-17 season when a joint broadcasting package will be sold.
This is intended to follow the path of the English "Premier" league and thus raise the entire level of the championships.
"I am talking about a war in Spanish football, because the only one of the 42 related clubs - Madrid "Real" - is resisting this innovation.
Why? You should ask the royal team. "Real" is a great club, which would like to call itself the champion of transparency, but the truth is different - in the championship they have their own interests.
I think the Madrid team wants to keep the broadcasting rights in their hands", said Tebas.
"This is a mixture of greed for money and power".
