Jurgen Klopp, the strategist of Dortmund, claims that his team still cannot be called the favorite of the German championship.

The young but exceptionally mature team defeated "Hamburg" 2-0 on Friday and after 12 rounds leads the championship, leaving the closest competitor Bayer Leverkusen 7 points behind, according to the UEFA website.

It is interesting that in the mentioned match, only three Borussia players were older than 22 (Lucas Barrios 26, Lukasz Piszczek 25, Roman Weidenfeller 30), but there was no youthful impatience in the game - the opponents were defeated in the second half by scoring two goals.

"Hamburg" strategist Armin Veh praised the opponents: "Dortmund squad have been playing excellent throughout the season. They run a lot, are fast and can change the pace. I think Borussia is the favorite to win the title."

Klopp cautiously agreed with such speeches. Asked what could prevent his pupils from triumphing, the specialist said: "There are enough things. But every week we become more enthusiastic. We have a clear goal - to show good football every week."

The Borussia players were noticed by the national team coach Joachim Low, who called up left-back Marcel Schmelzer (22 years old) and 18-year-old Mario Gotze for the first time. The national team also included 22-year-old Kevin Grosskreutz and his age-mate Mats Hummels.

"We have no ego - we want to win together," emphasized defender Neven Subotic.

Dortmund club won 10 out of the first 12 matches, but the defending champion Bayern Munich, trailing by 12 points, does not intend to give up.

"Sometime they will have to go through a tougher period. And then we will be there," said Bayern striker Mario Gomez.
