The Lithuanian youth team continued its performance in the UEFA Euro Under-21 Championship qualifiers on Friday.

The players coached by Tomas Ražanauskas could not maintain the lead they gained in the first half at the Jonava stadium and had to concede to their Czech counterparts with a score of 1:2.

These were the last home matches of the U21 boys' team in the qualifying cycle. The Lithuanians will conclude their qualifying campaign in October with two away matches – against the same Czech team and the Icelandic players.

During the first half, the only goal was scored in the 19th minute, when Romualdas Jansonas finished a well-crafted attack by Fausto Steponavičius and Ernestas Gudelevičius with an accurate shot. Fausto Steponavičius had two more promising chances, but his attempts did not hit the target.

In the second half, the opponents showed a more active attacking play and turned the score in their favor with goals from Denis Alijagić and Václav Sejk.
