One of the greatest footballers of all time from Ukraine, Andriy Shevchenko, has become the coach of his country's national team.
The former "Milan" and London's "Chelsea" sniper will strive to improve the team's results after the disappointing European Championship in France, where three losses were suffered and the last place in the group was taken.
The Italian Mauro Tassotti, a former "Golden Ball" laureate, will assist Shevchenko, along with Andrea Maldera and Raul Riancho, who previously worked at Kiev's "Dynamo" team.
Shevchenko's first task is to qualify for the World Cup in Russia, but the Ukrainian group will face teams like Croatia and Turkey.
Andriy already has experience working with the national team - he assisted Mykhaylo Fomenko during the European Championship.
