In the middle of the English Premier League round, the football community received sad news.
At the age of 87, Sir Bobby Charlton passed away in Anapilis.
The legendary striker won the World Cup with England in 1966.
In club football, Bobby Charlton left a significant mark at Manchester United, winning 8 titles in 17 years. The Englishman scored a total of 199 goals for the "Red Devils."
B. Charlton's statue stands next to the "Old Trafford" stadium. The legendary striker is there with George Best and Denis Law - the holy trinity of Manchester United.
"With great sadness, we announce that Sir Bobby passed away in Anapilis on Saturday morning. He was surrounded by family," said the Charlton family.
