Legendary Argentinian club "River Plate" from Buenos Aires suffered humiliation and dropped out of the highest national league.

This happened for the first time in its impressive 110-year history.

In the decisive match, "River Plate" had to overcome "Belgrano de Cordoba" with a two-goal advantage, but the match ended in a draw 1-1.

At the very end of the match, angry fans invaded the field, and the police had to use water cannons to calm down the outraged crowd.

Clashes between officers and angry fans continued even after the match, which was interrupted with about a minute left to play. It is reported that 25 people were injured.

The club's failure is linked to financial problems, as debts amount to over 12 million euros. Fans also do not spare criticism for the leaders.
