Harry Kane in the 2018 World Cup will lead the England national team not only with his goals, but also with leadership on the field.
Country's national team manager Gareth Southgate has decided to give the captaincy to 24-year-old H. Kane, for whom this will be his first World Cup.
In the England national team, there are also captains from Liverpool and London's Chelsea - Jordan Henderson and Gary Cahill, but the captain's armband went to the younger colleague.
After receiving this news, H. Kane did not hide his pride in social media: "It's a big day for me. To be the captain of the England national team means a lot. Huge thanks go to my family, friends, and fans who supported me in both difficult and good moments of my career."
H. Kane made his debut in the England national team in 2015 in a match against Lithuania. In 23 matches, the forward has already scored 12 goals.
Kane: "It's a massive honour. You always dream of playing for England growing up, and to be the captain is that little bit more. To be leading the lads out is going to be special."
