The guests started the game on a high note - in the 6th minute, F. Černych took advantage of the chance and put the Lithuanians ahead 1-0. However, the Lithuanians did not enjoy the lead for long. In the 20th minute, V. Davidsenas accurately converted a penalty kick to equalize the score, and in the 45th minute, J. Andreasenas scored a goal and gave the advantage to the hosts (2-1). In the second half, the score remained the same, and the Faroe Islands national team celebrated a very important victory in the battle for survival in the division.
