The Lithuanian national team rises in the FIFA ranking

Starting the qualification for the 2018 World Championship on equal footing, the Lithuanian national football team has risen several positions in the FIFA rankings. In the latest FIFA ranking, Lithuania has earned 18 additional points over four weeks. Edgar Jankauskas' team moved up from 125th place to 117th. Lithuania is behind four teams from the 2018 World Championship qualifying group. These are England (12), Slovakia (28), Scotland (44), and Slovenia (67). Argentina's national team holds the top spot with 1646 points. Belgium (1369) and Germany (1347) also made it into the top three.
