The Lithuanian national team failed to climb up in the FIFA rankings. Despite the victory against San Marino, Valdas Ivanauskas' squad did not receive much good news, and to make matters worse, our country's representatives were surpassed by one team in the list of national teams. In the updated FIFA rankings, Lithuanians dropped from 137th place to 138th, slipping behind the Solomon Islands team. If our team does not improve their results in the coming months, they risk dropping even lower, as other exotic country teams like Swaziland or Burundi Republic are climbing up. The top of the FIFA rankings is led by teams from Brazil, Belgium, France, Argentina, and England. Also in the top ten are Italy, Spain, Portugal, Mexico, and the Netherlands.
