The Lithuanian police will not allow Croatian hooligans to cause trouble.

The Lithuanian police are intensively preparing for tonight's Champions League qualifying second leg match between Vilnius' "Žalgiris" and Zagreb's "Dinamo" teams. Officers will be working across the country. Since Monday evening, officers with their official uniforms have been inspecting cars arriving from Croatia to Lithuania at border crossings, checking the items carried in them and the passengers' identities. Croatian fans are also welcomed and inspected at the entrance to Vilnius.

In the evening, a large police force will be working in the city center and at the stadium entrances, and other specialized units will be deployed. Criminal police officers will be working in plainclothes.

The Lithuanian police, in preparing for this match, closely cooperate with their colleagues from Croatia.

In the first leg match in Zagreb, 3 representatives of the Lithuanian police visited, and 4 officers from Croatia will come to the match in Vilnius to assist Lithuanian officers in controlling visiting fans, separating aggressive football hooligans.

Although the Lithuanian police are known for being welcoming, officers point out that any hospitality will end if public order is violated or disturbances are provoked. Officers wish all fans a great game and kindly ask them to support their team with respect.

In the first match, the Žalgiris team lost 0:2.
