On Wednesday at 17:00 local time in Spain, the draw for the quarter-finals of the 2018-19 King's Cup was conducted.
Valencia's "Levante" efforts to eliminate "Barcelona" club from the tournament through legal means did not succeed: the Spanish Football Federation stated that the reaction to the Chumi case was too late. "Levante" announced that they will appeal the decision, but "Barcelona" had already found out their opponent for the quarter-finals.
They were given a tough challenge - tournament champions "Sevilla" await. The first match will take place in Seville, and the second leg will be at the "Camp Nou" stadium.
Madrid's "Real" got paired with their neighbor's tormentor - "Girona" club. The first clash will happen in the capital, and the subsequent matches will move to Girona.
In the other pair, "Valencia" will face off against Madrid's "Getafe", while Barcelona's "Espanyol" will host Sevilla's "Real Betis" challenge.
The quarter-finals will start on January 23 and conclude on the 30th of the same month.
