This year, on May 16, the Public Institution "Sunday Football League" signed a cooperation agreement with the company NIKE. NIKE became the main sponsor of the Sunday Football League championship. From now on, the Sunday Football League championship will be called the SFL NIKE championship. NIKE will award the championship winner with a gift check of 6000 litas, and has prepared small gifts for all SFL teams. NIKE will also provide footballs for the participants of the CARLSBERG Cup final and the Twin City Cup final. The finalists of these tournaments will also be awarded with goalkeeper glove sets. NIKE is also willing to support the beach football tournament being held for the first time in Vilnius. NIKE is one of the leading sports apparel manufacturers in the world. The Sunday Football League currently unites 37 amateur football clubs and is the largest amateur football league in Lithuania. According to the marketing manager of NIKE in Lithuania, Vilija Biciunaite, SFL attracted attention due to its high level of competition organization and information dissemination. "We are particularly interested in amateur and mass sports because we see a niche here not only for sports, but also for leisure products. We can confidently say that there is no such massive and well-organized amateur football league as the SFL in any Baltic country," said the marketing manager of NIKE. In turn, SFL president Paulius Malžinskas noted that cooperation with a renowned company like NIKE is a kind of evaluation and recognition of three years of work.
