The website "Transfermarkt" calculated that the most successful in 'selling' over the past decade was Lisbon's "Benfica" team, which can boast of accumulated 644.6 million euros. It surpasses the second and third place teams, "Porto" and "Ajax" from Amsterdam (375.1 million and 368.3 million respectively). A non-European team also made it to the top ten - the eighth place is taken by the Brazilian "Santos" club (218.1 million). The most successful clubs in selling players over the decade were: 1.
