Today at 19:00 the 2006 World Cup seventh qualifying group match between the national teams of Lithuania and San Marino will begin. The match, which will take place at the Kaunas S. Darius and S. Girėnas Sports Center stadium, will be broadcast live on TV3 television.

Today in this group, there will be another two matches. The footballers of Bosnia and Herzegovina will play at home against the favored Spanish national team.

Yesterday, speaking with journalists, the national team coach A. Liubinskas stated that he is preparing the players for a serious fight. The coach also said that although the opponents may lack skill, the teams are expecting a tough match.

The team's strategist has already announced the lineup that will start today's match. One change compared to the match in Belgium - instead of the injured A. Skerla, S. Mikoliūnas will appear on the field, not as a defender but as a midfielder. The injured T. Ražanauskas will not be sitting on the team's bench, he was replaced by G. Butrimavičius.

Starting lineup of the Lithuanian national team (4-3-3): Ž. Karčemarskas; A. Skerla, R. Džiaukštas, N. Barasa, M. Stankevičius; D. Vencevičius, S. Mikoliūnas, E. Česnauskis; T. Danilevičius, R. Poškus, E. Jankauskas.
