The Madrid-based "Real" club has been planning to officially announce the acquisition of Serbian football star Luka Jović for a week now, but fans of the team may still have to wait.
According to reports in Spain, Frankfurt's "Eintracht" unexpectedly raised the price for L. Jović, who was initially supposed to join Madrid's "Real" team for a fee of 60 million euros.
"Jugones" television reports that "Real" withdrew from the negotiations when they found out that "Eintracht" had increased the amount to 100 million euros. However, other sources in Spain claim that the Madrid team did not back out.
"Eintracht" is likely to agree to reduce the requested amount to 85 million euros, although "Real" is currently not willing to pay more than 70 million euros.
The negotiations are expected to end simply because L. Jović himself has expressed a desire to join Madrid's "Real" team. The Serbian would rather stay in Frankfurt than move to another European team to play.
It is said that today L. Jović's agent will meet with the "Eintracht" management and try to lower their expectations regarding the transfer fee.
