Munich's "Bayern" faced an unexpected problem in negotiations with Manuel Neuer.
According to "Bild," the goalkeeper who has been defending Bavaria's team since 2011 would like to tie his future with "Bayern" for a long time, but the management does not have such thoughts - they do not want to offer a long-term contract to the veteran.
The current 33-year-old player's contract with "Bayern" is valid until 2021.
Bayern club does not offer M. Neuer a long-term contract for two reasons. First, they do not want to spend on veteran salaries, and second - they have acquired Alexander Nubel, with whom the club's future is linked.
In addition, M. Neuer has missed many matches in recent years due to injuries, which could further affect his athletic condition in the future.
