On Sunday evening, one of the most beautiful European Championship matches took place. In Group C, the Dutch national team defeated the Ukrainians after a dramatic battle with a result of 3:2. In the first half, both teams were more focused on attacking rather than defending, but the spectators did not see any goals in the first 45 minutes. However, the teams made up for the lack of goals in the second half, during which the ball flew into the goal net five times. The Netherlands took the lead in the 52nd minute, when Georginio Wijnaldum took advantage of the opponent's goalkeeper's not very successful play. Just seven minutes later, Wout Weghorst doubled his team's advantage. Although it seemed that the Dutch players were in control of the game, the Ukrainians did not give up, and in the 75th minute, the most beautiful goal of the tournament so far was scored by Andriy Yarmolenko. Just four minutes later, the score was level again when Roman Yaremchuk directed the ball into the net with his head after a set piece. However, the last word in this match was said by the Dutch defender Denzel Dumfries, who played actively throughout the entire game and expanded his team's lead in the 85th minute.
