Recently appointed Barcelona club strategist Luis Enrique was urgently taken to the hospital on Monday morning. The 44-year-old coach underwent a routine appendectomy operation, after which he will have to stay in the hospital for some time. The Catalan club confirmed on their website that the operation was successful and L.Enrique will be able to return home in the next few days. In May, the strategist signed a two-year contract with Barcelona. Last season, his team Celta Vigo finished in 9th place in the Spanish championship standings.
