The new coach of "Aston Villa" became Remi Garde

"Aston Villa" team officially confirmed that the new team coach will be former "Lyon" strategist Remi Garde. The 49-year-old coach signed a contract until the end of the 2018-2019 season and will replace Tim Sherwood, who was dismissed last week. Garde faces the toughest challenge of his career, as his future team only earned four points in over ten "Premier" league matches and currently holds the last place in the English championships. Nevertheless, the Frenchman expressed his thoughts on the club's website, sharing: "It is an unimaginable honor to become the coach of such a famous club. I had very positive meetings with the club owner Randy Lerner and chairman Tom Fox. They have very ambitious goals for the team, and I am very happy that they chose me to achieve those goals. Without a doubt, we will have a difficult task, but I hope to overcome this challenge with the help of all the people who love the club," - Garde said after his appointment as coach. Remi Garde won the French Cup and Super Cup during his three-year tenure with the "Lyon" team. He also led the club to the Champions League quarterfinals. The Frenchman left his former team after the 2013-2014 season, stating that he was leaving the team for personal reasons.
