The Berlin club has confirmed that the new head coach of the team will be 42-year-old Falko Gotz, replacing Hans Meyer. The club, fighting to stay in the Bundesliga with the coach, has signed a 2-year contract.

Last month, Gotz was fired from the club, but now he has been given the opportunity to improve his reputation as a coach.

The president of the Berlin team, Dieter Hoeness, says he is very happy that they were able to reach an agreement with the coach: "We knew exactly what kind of person we were looking for, and Falko Gotz perfectly meets all the criteria. We are very pleased with our decision."
