FBK's new head coach appointed is Šenderis Giršovičius. He took over the vacant position left by Belarusian coach Sergejus Borovskis, who left the team on Tuesday. It is believed that Borovskis received good offers from several foreign clubs.
Š.Giršovičius is no stranger to "Kaunas" - he became a Lithuanian champion with this team in 1999 and 2000. After that, Giršovičius coached Klaipėda's "Atlantas", worked with the youth national team, and most recently with Klaipėda's "Rodovite", which did not receive a license to play in the "A League".
