The Madrid "Real" has decided to further strengthen before the new season - it is announced that the Spanish superclub has set its sights on 21-year-old Croatian Mateo Kovačič and has already reached an agreement with Milan's "Inter" for the transfer. The deal amount could reach 35 million euros.
It is said that the negotiations took place very quickly and secretly, as soon as coach Rafa Benitez received permission from "Real" president Florentino Perez to spend.
The initial target was 29-year-old Argentine Lucas Biglia from Rome's "Lazio", but an agreement was reached more quickly with "Inter".
According to "La Gazzetta dello Sport," M. Kovačič gladly accepted the news of the possibility of moving to "Real". Previously, he was sought after by English "Liverpool".
