The new head coach of Madrid's "Real" team, Zinedine Zidane, did not hide his joy on Monday evening and thanked the club president for the opportunity to become the main team's strategist.
The 43-year-old football legend coached "Castilla" this season, but following the unexpected dismissal of Rafael Benitez from the coaching position, the Frenchman took over the reins of the "Real" team.
"I want to thank the club and, of course, the president for the opportunity to coach this wonderful team," Zidane said during the presentation. "Today is an exciting day. Personally, it is more exciting for me than when I became a player for this club."
"We have the best team and the best fans in the world, for whom the word 'impossible' does not exist. I will do everything possible to win titles this season.
Now the most important thing is to meet with the team tomorrow and start working!" added the former player of the club, who worked as assistant coach in the 2013-14 season.
