Madril team leaders and fans seem to be in for an interesting summer. Fernando Martinas, the new president of the team undergoing changes in Spain, stated that one of his main tasks for the upcoming offseason will be to attract London talent Cesc Fabregas.

According to Spanish media, F. Martinas himself stated that many club employees and scouts have positively responded to the arrival of the eighteen-year-old midfielder. The arrival of one of the most promising young European footballers in Madrid should initiate radical changes in the star-studded lineup of Real.

However, Fabregas' loyalty to his current team, Arsenal, might hinder the transfer to Real's biggest rival. The Catalan midfielder came to England from this team and signed a long-term contract with Arsenal in 2004. It is undeniable that the "Gunners" will also be reluctant to give up a player who has often secured a spot in the starting lineup.

Having replaced the unsuccessful Real club president Florentino Perez, F. Martinas intends to drastically renovate the team this summer. It is reported that the new leader is willing to sell up to 10 stars, including Zinedine Zidane, Roberto Carlos, recently arrived Antonio Cassano, Michel Salgado, and the heavily criticized striker Ronaldo.

Doors may also be shown to players plagued by constant injuries like Jonathan Woodgate, Ivan Helguera, Thomas Gravesen, Pablo Garcia, Raul Bravo, and Oscar Minambres. Although this information has not been officially confirmed yet, many experts believe that Real's lineup will undergo significant changes this summer.
