Mertens was the last to officially bid farewell to the Napoli team. His career took a turn towards Turkey, where he will represent Istanbul's "Galatasaray" club. In 8 seasons representing the Napoli club, the forward scored a total of 140 goals, with 75 assists in international tournaments and the "Serie A" league. With the Istanbul team, D. Mertens signed a one-year contract. He joined the club along with "Arsenal" midfielder Lucas Torreira.
