The Panevėžys club achieved victory against Banga

The Central matches of the 30th round of the "TOPsport A League” took place in Gargždai, where the teams "Banga” and "Panevėžys” met. Demonstrating character, the visitors turned the match around and fought for an important victory with a score of 3:2 (2:1).

The Lithuanian champions, who have not found their game this season, again started the match unsuccessfully. With an impressive long-range shot, Konstantinas Šulcas brought the home team forward.

In the first half of the first period, the team from Panevėžys created nothing dangerous. They made a few passes into the penalty area, but Mantas Bertašius confidently caught the ball within it.

In the 22nd minute, the Gargždai "Banga” team combined a great attack, and Cesinha was very close to doubling the lead; however, the Brazilian's shot into the far corner of the goal hit the post.

Six minutes later, Jovanas Čadženovičius received an accurate pass from the flank and headed the ball into the far lower corner of the goal, leveling the score.

In the second half of the match, the visitors from Panevėžys solidified their lead with a great combination that ended with an accurate shot from the Spaniard Lucas de Vega.

In the dying moments of regulation time, the Gargždai team brought back intrigue – Natanas Žebrauskas made a pass into the penalty area, after which defender Justinas Januševičius scored.

The "Panevėžys” players, who achieved victory, remain in last place with 28 points, but they have only one point less than their nearest competitors, while "Banga” with 37 points still holds the fourth place.
