The football club "Panevėžys" said goodbye to three foreign footballers during the offseason. Next year, the team's jerseys will not be worn by goalkeeper Emilis Timburas, defender Miloš Vranjanin, and forward Sivertas Gussias.
Norwegian S. Gussias played in 30 matches in the Lithuanian Championship in 2024, during which he scored 2 goals and provided 1 assist. The forward also appeared once on the pitch in the "TOPsport First League" representing the B team and in the LFF Cup match against Vilnius "Žalgiris".
S. Gussias also competed in four Champions League matches and played two matches each in the Europa League and Conference League qualifying rounds. In the first two tournaments, the player scored one goal each.
The goalkeeper from Moldova joined "Panevėžys" at the beginning of summer. In the "TOPsport A League," he kept a clean sheet in one of the 6 matches, and E. Timburas also played in the Champions League three times and once in the Conference League.
Serbian M. Vranjanin joined the team from the capital of Aukštaitija in the second half of the last season, providing an assist in five matches in the Lithuanian Championship.
The football club "Panevėžys" thanks E. Timburas, M. Vranjanin, and S. Gussias for their professionalism and wishes them success in their future careers.
