Struggling with a difficult start at Manchester United, coach Ruben Amorim wants to entice his main weapon from the Lisbon club Sporting.
The Daily Star reports that R. Amorim is demanding that the club’s leaders acquire Sporting’s striker Viktor Gyokeres by January.
Although the Portuguese coach promised upon arriving at Man Utd that he would not touch Sporting players until summer, the situation in England is so poor that he no longer wants to wait until the end of the season.
Sporting would be willing to sell the 26-year-old Swede as early as January, but they expect to receive at least £80 million for him.
