Milan's "Inter" strategist Roberto Mancini admits that the poor start of Turin's "Juventus" surprised him.
Last season's Italian champions left the team leaders Carlos Tevez, Andrea Pirlo, and Arturo Vidal this summer, and the newcomers who arrived to replace them were unable to do so properly.
"Bianconeri" have only gathered five points in the first six "Serie A" matches and are currently ranked in only fifteenth place on the league table. Massimiliano Allegri's players from Florence's "Fiorentina" are already trailing by ten points.
"I did not think that Juventus would start so poorly," Mancini told Il Messaggero.
"Of course, it was possible to predict that losing such important figures as Pirlo, Tevez, and Vidal, they would struggle. It was clear that it would have its consequences, but I did not expect this."
"Nevertheless, in my opinion, Juventus will recover soon and together with Roma and Napoli will remain contenders for the Scudetto."
