The English Premier League is following UEFA's example.
The Premier League has announced that after a special meeting between club executives, it has been decided to use semi-automated offside technology from next season.
It can help avoid misunderstandings such as Luis Diaz's disallowed goal against Tottenham in October and unnecessary long breaks when VAR measures the lines between players.
UEFA also uses this system, which seems to be working so far.
🚨 Official: Premier League clubs unanimously agreed to the introduction of Semi-Automated Offside Technology.
