"Premier" league clubs "Manchester United" and London's "Arsenal" will try to strengthen as needed during the player transfer window opening in January in an attempt to regain past glory.
It is reported that the "Red Devils" have lost hope of acquiring Barcelona defender Gerard Pique, so now they have turned their attention to Real Madrid player Raphael Varane.
Meanwhile, the injury-plagued "Arsenal" are aiming to acquire the attacking midfielder Francisco Roman Alarcon Suarez, better known as Isco, from the royal club.
The 22-year-old Spaniard will be offered 45 million euros.
In the "Premier" league, "Man Utd" currently holds the 4th place, while "Arsenal" is in 8th place.
