The Prince of Jordan promises to run for FIFA presidential elections.

FIFA Vice President Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein announced that he will compete with Sepp Blatter for the position of FIFA president.

The 39-year-old Jordanian prince stated in his announcement that he consulted with "respected FIFA colleagues" before making the decision.

"I have heard many times that the time for change has come," - stated the prince in his announcement.

S. Blatter led FIFA for 17 years. During his tenure, the organization was involved in several scandals, including the corruption scandal in the selection of World Cup hosts.

"It is time to move away from dealing with administrative disagreements and return to the sport," said Ali Bin Al Hussein.

The FIFA presidential elections will take place on May 29th.
