The project of regional football talent centers welcomes a new season

Registration of young players for open trainings is starting, which will begin in exactly a month in seven cities. The project of the Regional Talent Centers, implemented by the Lithuanian Football Federation, will soon involve the most talented boys born between 2011 and 2015.

The project carried out by the LFF Technical Department since 2023 has already provided the opportunity for 800 boys and 150 girls to demonstrate their skills in open selections. This year, even greater participant activity is expected, and the project organizers shared news about future changes in training structure.

We invite you to register for open trainings taking place in June by entering data in this participant form: https://forms.office.com/e/RRGSnSCsuZ . They will take place on June 3 in Panevėžys, June 4 in Šiauliai, June 6 in Kaunas, June 10 in Marijampolė, June 12 in Telšiai, June 13 in Klaipėda, and June 17 in Vilnius.

The project leader Lukas Artimavičius provided more details about the expectations and goals for the upcoming season, creating the opportunity for the most talented players to be noticed and pursue the dream of representing the Lithuanian national team.

"Our expectation is to receive even more attention and activity in selections, which is the first stage of the project. Every child has a chance to show themselves, reveal their abilities, and demonstrate progress made over the year. Not selected for regional talent centers last year, but children who put in a lot of work and improved can prove that they deserve to be in the project this year. After the open selections in June, new age groups will be planned, and in August the project will move to a new stage.

We will have significant project innovations. Boys born in 2011 will have a more team-oriented training process, as they can be considered candidates for the future youth national team, U14 Future. We will have four centers in Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, and a joint one in Šiauliai and Panevėžys, where boys who pass the selection will train together 2 to 4 times a month and we will have monthly camps at the LFF Kaunas Training Center. Meanwhile, younger players born between 2012 and 2015 will have two weekly trainings at their regional center with our coaches," revealed Lukas Artimavičius.
