A couple of weeks ago, the world sports media was shocked by the news of the clashes that took place in the Turkish championship.
In the match between "Trabzonspor" and "Fenerbahçe" (2:3), after the final whistle of the referee, a real chaos began - the home team's fans started running onto the field, who were bravely confronted by Istanbul club players.
Today, finally, the punishments for the participants of the incident were announced.
The Trabzon club will have to play six matches without spectators in the stands and pay a fine of up to 90,000 euros. In one match, the assistant coach Egemen Korkmaz will not be able to participate.
As for "Fenerbahçe" players Jayden Oosterwolde and Irfan Can Egribayat, they received a one-match suspension as punishment.
