On Friday, the "Barcelona" team tried to make a player transfer that would have shocked the entire football community.
"Sport" reported that the Catalans offered 60 million euros for the Real Madrid rival's security Angel Di Maria.
However, the royal club president Florentino Perez said a firm "no" before the fax machine could even print out the full offer text.
The Spanish press claims that in reality "Barcelona" had no intention of actually buying the Argentine, but rather wanted to increase tension between the player and the team leaders even more.
The only real contenders to buy A. Di Maria are considered to be the "Man Utd" club.
